Gardening at Washington View – THURSDAYS

July 24 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

Volunteer with us to create a beautiful, productive food garden for Washington View Apartments. Help end food apartheid in Ward 8!

In May, we’ll be filling the bed frames with soil and planting. June to November, we’ll be weeding, harvesting, planting, trellising, and all of the things we need to do to keep a garden productive. No experience is necessary–we’re happy to show you what to do. This is a great way to learn about how to garden.

Multiple trays and pots containing young vegetable and herb seedlings are arranged outdoors on a sidewalk beside grass.

A pile of mulch, wooden structures, and a "FARM" sign are seen in front of an apartment building and black metal fence.
This garden is a project of Building Bridges Across the River, National Housing Trust, Novo Nordisk and powered by The Interrupt.
